How To Clean Your Kitchen
I know I know, this seems like the most basic thing possible right? Well, yes and no.
Cleaning your kitchen is probably one of the most satisfying rooms in the house to clean.
It's the hub of the home after all. so when it's clean, it has the biggest impact.
So, where do you start?
Cupboards:
Cupboards are one of those things that we often take for granted as something that needs special attention, but they do. Wood will hold on to scent and oils easily if you're someone who uses your kitchen as often as our clients do, so giving them some love is always a good idea! We recommend good ol' fashion dishsoap to wash off the unwanted stuff from your kitchen cupboards. Put some warm water in a bowl with a good quality dishsoap that is known to be good on 'grease' and gently rub them down. Depending on the material, you can use a soft toothbrush for those hard to clean grooves!

Sink:
Nothing bugs me more than a sink that is 'clean', but that doesn't shine! This one is easy to achieve! Get into your newly cleaned cupboard and gran your baking soda. We like to mix baking soda with some really warm water to create a paste. Then work your way from the top of the sink down to the drain. Move in circlular motions with a bit of soap on your sponge. Rinse with hot water and repeat if necessary.
Under Sink:
This one of the loneliest places in your kitchen...but one of the most important, if this part isn't organized and tidy, the rest won't be either (in our opinion). Remove all of your cleaning products, garbage can, and other supplies that live under the sink. Fill a bowl or small bucket with your favorite cleaner and warm water and get under there and start scrubbing. Once you've wiped down all the inside of the cupboard, you can start to find creative ways to organize your cleaning products, cloths, and other things that keep your home nice and clean.
Fridge:
Cleaning your fridge is recommended at least monthly, if not every 2 weeks. Keeping a clean fridge is paramount in a lot of areas of your life. When you feel organized in your fridge your eating habits tend to really improve. Think about how much more motivated you are to stay on track with a healthy lifestyle when your fridge looks like a Pinterest board? It will save you tons of money too! When things are lost in the abyss of your fridge, you tend to double buy things you didn't even need. Cleaning it out will show you what you have that you won't need to buy again. And who doesn't love to save money?

Floor and countertop
Last, but not least, your floors and countertop. Removing all the things on your counter is the best way to get the job done. Move things from one side and give the counter a good spray with your favorite scent, natural products do well here as food is in contact often with your counter. Wipe it down with a reusable cloth or paper towel and watch them shine!
Once your counters are done, move to the floor. We will start near the counters and work our way out of the room, seems like an obvious way to clean the floors, but sometimes the obvious escapes even the most seasoned cleaner.
A couple of honorable mentions are your stove, hood fan, and even the walls. These are considered more of a deep clean so they can happen less frequently. You could even plan to do these larger jobs when the seasons change!
